Webinar: Ensuring Health & Safety at Work, 04.05, 17:00 - 18:00 Uhr

According to the International Labor Organization, there are approximately 340 million occupational accidents every year worldwide, leading to an estimated 2.3 million deaths annually.* Occupational Health and Safety (#OHS) refers to the set of practices and policies aimed at protecting workers from hazards and ensuring their well-being in the workplace. It is a crucial aspect of #compliance as failure to adhere to OHS standards can result in serious accidents, injuries, and even fatalities. Digital solutions can help to streamline audits, increase compliance, and ultimately save lives.

In this webinar, we want to discuss with two OHS experts what they do, and how they tackle challenges when it comes to ensuring health and safety at the workplace.

THE SPEAKER

Jaanika Jelistratov has been working in OHS for over 10 years now. She started as a health & safety specialist, where she helped companies in different industries and sizes follow health & safety requirements, and ended up as an OHS trainer and CEO of a health & safety consultancy company. One day she just realized that health & safety specialists are so overloaded with bureaucracy that they don't have enough time to focus on their actual work, which is prevention. So she developed VITS - an online platform where companies can manage health & safety processes efficiently.

Ahti Salumäe is a Health & Safety practitioner, with the intent to enable companies to truly improve employee well-being and mitigate workplace risks. For over 15 years, he worked as a HSE manager, i.a. Amazon. Now he’s on a mission to improve the Estonian safety culture. He believes it’s necessary to proactively improve the workplace to prevent incidents.
