SUMMARY:Research with workers: Digital Grievance Mechanisms in Portugal
DESCRIPTION:THE TOPIC\nWe conducted a research study in a Portuguese garment factory\, uncovering insights into the efficacy of our complaints chatbot\, workers‘ feedback\, and other grievance possibilities. Our primary aim was to gain an in-depth understanding of how workers engage with our grievance channel. In the event\, we want to shed some light on our findings and their implications.\nGUEST SPEAKER\nNadine Schratzberger is the founder of the sustainable Viennese outdoor label MONTREET\, which she successfully launched through crowdfunding in 2018. The focus of her fashion lies in the combination of functionality\, unusual designs and circular economy. For her work in the field of sustainability and circularity\, Nadine was awarded the „BESTES OUTDOOR PIECE 2021“ by Peta Germany. In 2022 he was nominated for the „MIT Innovator Under 35“.\nGrowing up in Vienna and with a master tailor as a grandfather\, Nadine was involved in the fashion industry from an early age. After studying at Esmod Munich and a study abroad program at Central Saint Martins University in London\, she specialized in sports fashion and initially worked as a freelancer. In addition to customers such as Maier Sport\, Schöffel and Athleticum\, she quickly gained a foothold in the scene and got a good picture of supply chains\, processes and corporate forms.\nAwareness of the topic „Sustainable Fashion“ is an important point in her everyday work\, in addition to managing her brand. Nadine’s work has already been published in Alpin Magazin\, Brigitte Schweiz\, der Falter and Ö1. In addition\, as a lecturer\, Nadine brings the topic closer to the following generation in various schools and implements this through workshops on recyclable fashion or zero-waste management at trade fairs and events.\nTHE ORGANIZERS\natlat offers companies a digital complaint system to ensure workers rights at their suppliers and comply with the Supply Chain regulation\, such as the LkSG and EU CSDDD.\n\nregister here.
